Happy Birthday Christine O'Loughlin!!

Name: Christine O'LoughlinStudent’s Name: Daniel
Student’s Graduation Year: 2015
Your Birthday: 12/28/1987
Blog: christinehonore.blogspot.com
-Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Aside from the college years, I've lived in California all my life. I graduated in 2010 in Family LIfe- Human Development. I met Daniel at school my sophomore year in college- liked him from day 1 and never looked back :). We've been married for almost 3 1/2 years. Among other things, I enjoy eating, exercising, drawing, dancing, crafting, and reading.

*what was the best job you ever had? In high school I worked as an executive assistant to a well- known wedding planner from my area. Considering I'm a lover of love and most mushy stuff, this was a dream come true job. I was not only able to be around lots of happy couples, celebrating their special day, but I was apart of setting up and running these fabulous, over the top weddings! Each one was so beautiful, with a different theme and style. It was fun to see how everything came together, and then watch everyone enjoy the evening.
*What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? Spend time with my hubby and eat!
*What is one thing most people dont know about you? I've  never broken a bone.

*What was one of your favorite vacations? One of the vacations that sticks out in my mind was one when my family and I stayed  on Coronado Island in San Diego. We didn't do anything particularly exciting, aside from riding bikes on the trails and playing tennis. But something about relaxing and spending time with my family on this little island really stuck with me, and this trip has been one of my favorites ever since.

About myself.... this is not my favorite topic but here goes... I have been married to my husband for 9 years now. We will have our 10 year anniversary the weekend after graduation and I am so excited for both. I love this time of our life right now and look forward to each new step that we get to take. My husband and I are both from" Sunny" St. George. We are hoping to end up there after all of this. We have 4 beautiful kids, Hallie 7, Annie 5, Barry 3, and Natalie 1. And yes, we want one more but not sure when that will be. Right now we live in Ohio and have really enjoyed our time here. Some of the things that I love to do are: being a mom, running, photography, some crafting (I am not the best but I still enjoy it), and watching movies with my husband.

-If I could go anywhere in the world at this very moment, it would be Disney World with my kids and of course, sleep in Cinderellas castle!
-I absolutely love Pride and Prejudice ( the new one) and Lord of the Rings extended version. Totally opposite I know but both great movies!
-Favorite thing to do in spare time would be going on a long run or hanging out with my husband!

-Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. I have four sisters, four brothers, and 37 nieces and nephews.  My dad is a full-blooded Greek and if he could’ve had it his way, there’s a good chance I would’ve been named Zorba. I am the spitting image of my mom, I believe soup is its own food group, and Life cereal has healing powers. I’ve finger-painted with ketchup and mustard and I LOVE vocal jazz. I have the strangest, most vivid dreams known to man that would be a dream interpreter’s gold mine, and I have been told that I wiggle my toes while sleeping.  My first name means "strong and womanly" and I take pride in that. I am living the dream as a mom to two-month-old Scarlett and I have the most giving and self-less husband in the world. I believe in trust more than I believe in love, and I know I can always trust in the Lord.

*what is one of your worst embarrassing moments? I left a movie theater once to go to the bathroom and when I came back it was a really dark intense scene and I couldn't find my seat so after several minutes of walking up and down the aisle I finally had to shout for my friends. People were NOT happy.
*if you could eat at any restaurant for your birthday what would it be? Johnny Carino's
*Who is your favorite musical group/band/singer? Ella Fitzgerald
*If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? Greece
*What is your favorite movie? You've Got Mail
*What is your favorite tv show? The Cosby Show
*Best birthday memory? Growing up, I would always have a sleepover and in the morning my mom would make us crepes with ice cream.
*Three words that best describe you are? Tenacious, kind, silly
*what was the best job you ever had? Working for my dad's catering business, and now being a mom, of course =)
*What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? Watch a show or movie while taking a bath
*What is one thing most people dont know about you? I used to have a dime-sized mole on my cheek
*If you could get any gift for your birthday this year what would it be? A piano
*What was one of your favorite vacations? My honeymoon to Disneyland

Grew up in Bentonville, Arkansas. I have been married 6 years now and we have two beauties Laynie and Norah. I love decorating, dancing (especially salsa), painting, and cooking. I never thought I would say this, but I have loved living in K ville and can't wait to spend another year here!

*If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? Too many places, but either Italy to stuff my face and the romance, or Thailand to stuff my face and ride an elephant!
*Best birthday memory? When my husband surprised me before we were married and took me on a private plane ride to see all the Christmas lights, followed by an amazing dinner in a really nice restaurant, then to an overlook of the city where he serenaded me and then we danced (wow this sounds like a cheesy chick flick but I swear it happened :)
*If you could get any gift for your birthday this year what would it be? A rocking chair, I sold mine before we left because we were afraid there wasn't room for it.  I miss singing to my girls while rocking them to sleep!

Happy Birthday Christian Potter!!!

Name: Christian PotterStudent’s Name: JamesStudent’s Graduation Year: 2013Your Birthday: 12/11/84Blog: jamesandchristian.blogspot.com (email me for an invitation)
-Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I grew up in Utah and Tennessee. I love the West and I love the South, so Missouri really suits me. I have an English degree but don't read very much...at all. I keep promising myself that I will one day read all the books I was supposed to have read before I graduated. We'll see. But I LOVE writing and editing papers. I know, I'm weird. I enjoy cooking, listening to and (when no one's around) singing to almost anything but particularly soft rock, oldies, and broadway stuff, occassionally reading a good book, watching movies, and being with my husband and kids.
*if you could eat at any restaurant for your birthday what would it be?     -In Kirksville--Colton's or La Fuente. Anywhere--Tucanos (Utah) or Maggiano's (St. Louis--You HAVE to eat there!!!!!!).
*What is your favorite tv show?
-"Dancing With the Stars". I'm addicted. (I'd be addicted to "So You Think You Can Dance," but they don't show it online and I don't have tv.) I LOVE to watch dancing. I don't dance, but I think the human body in motion to music is breath-taking.

*What was the best job you ever had?
-The job where I made the most money was working at Cracker Barrel in TN. I worked 50-70 hours a week and, although it was crazy being a 19-year-old "manager" there, I had a fat paycheck that usually made up for it. But the best job I've ever had was working at a hotel as a front desk clerk while attending junior college. It was so easy that I always got my homework done and usually had time to watch a movie or hang out with the other desk clerks that lived there. Not that I didn't do anything productive... I had several responsibilities, including editing my boss's emails and letters and managing some of his organization (He wasn't big on computers or skilled in grammar, and lucky for me, I was!) My boss was the absolute coolest. He let me off whenever I needed it and worked around my schedule. Whenever my boss, the owner of the hotel, made rennovations, which was basically constantly, I would crack up as the four boys and their dad worked together because they were all so crazy and funny. I'm so glad I married the oldest boy!
*If you could get any gift for your birthday this year what would it be?
-$1,000 for clothes for me and my family.
*What was one of your favorite vacations?
-As a kid with my family, we took a 4-week trip across the country in a van...Two parents, six kids, and a grandma cramped in our van was not that much fun at the time, but the memories we made far outweigh the whining and crying and complaining we did. We saw a lot of the Mormon history sites, visiting as many as possible in that month. We saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, the Statue of Liberty, and the White House (Pres. Clinton was walking out as we drove by.) and a lot of the cool stuff in D.C. I honestly can't even remember all the other places we went to, but I just know I look back on that time with nothing but joy and appreciation. I still can't believe my parents did that for us.
My favorite vacation with James was to San Diego. He surprised me with the trip for our first Christmas together (married for 2 months), giving me clues in separate boxes, waiting to give me the best part, the biggest gift, until the last so I would KNOW what was going on--incredible tickets to Wicked, the musical! We drove there and back and just had a great time visiting Sea World, the harbor, and the play and enjoying our time together as newly weds. Can you believe that trip beat out our trip to Hawaii as one of my favorites?!

-Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in Costa Mesa, CA (Orange County).  I loved to be outside growing up and spent a lot of time on my roller skates, my bike, at the beach, the playground, and Disneyland.  Most of all I loved to dance, and had my first job teaching dance at the age of 15.  I danced my way through Jr. High, High School, and College while getting a degree in Community Health from BYU (I minored in dance). I spent my last semester of BYU in Ukraine doing intern work at the Health Department in Kyiv.  I met Charles on a blind date just as I was finishing my Master's degree in Nutrition at the University of Utah (Charles was in Med school HERE at ATSU at the time!).  I worked as a pediatric dietitian at the Children's hospital in Salt Lake City until we were married and then at Cincinnati Children's in Ohio (while Charles was doing his rotations in Dayton during 3rd and 4th year).  After graduation we moved to Wichita, KS where Charles did his Family Medicine residency.  While there we had 2 kids.  Savannah is now nearly 3 and Cameron is 7-months-old.  Now we're back in Kirksville for Charles' 4th and FINAL year of residency while he specializes in OMM.  I love being a mom and spending time with my two sweet kiddos, love to cook, love photography (though I'm admittedly not nearly as good as I'd like to be), and love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

*If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? Italy!
*What is your favorite movie? Singin' in the Rain (I know it's old-school, but I love it!)
*what was the best job you ever had?  Working with the Bone Marrow Transplant kids at Primary Children's Hospital

Our family has been traveling a lot recently in order to attend some residency interviews with Brendon. It has been both really fun and really stressful!

I love traveling to distant lands, meeting interesting people, reading Shakespeare, skiing deep powder, hiking steep peaks, running- still learning to love this one- and then coming home to my killer attractive husband.

My husband is in his second year of his anesthesia residency and we have been living in Kirksville for six years now.  If you have any questions about living in the area, I would love to try and help.  I grew up in California, but we moved here from Provo, UT where my husband and I attended BYU.  I studied Comparative Literature there.  Bobby and I have been married for ten years now.  We have three fun little girls (Franny, Sophie, and Claire) and a fourth girl on the way!  I totally thought it was a boy and earlier this year I announced it on my blog and on Facebook and I still haven't gone back to announce it's a girl.  Some of my relatives, high school friends, etc, still think I'm having a boy.  By the by, I do not recommend those early detection gender tests you can buy at Walgreens.  :)  I figure by the time my girls are all grown I will be an expert at hair-styling and wedding-planning.  I love my girls and we are all so excited to welcome baby Mabel into our family this November.  I love to cook and I love to talk about food and share recipes.  I also enjoying sewing, reading, and watching movies.  I don't mean to brag, but I am awesome at Words with Friends.  My username is schnitzelplease... bring it on.  (Kari P- I still need to start a game with you.)  I love my family and my favorite time is when we're all at home together just hanging out.  We have loved our time in Kirksville and the wonderful friends we've made since we've been here.

2 Truths and a lie:

1.  So far this year I have been to 17 different states.

2.  My first car was a '69 Camaro.

3.  We have lived in three different houses since we moved to Kirksville.

A little about me: I'm going to be 29. My husband and I just celebrated our 5th anniversary on July 29th and we have a daughter that will be turning 3 in November. I work as a clinical office assistant at the George Rae Cancer Treatment Center here in Kirksville. During my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking, going on trips with my family, and ice skating (which makes me sad that there are no skating rinks anywhere around here).
2 truths and a lie:

I've worked in various hospitals and clinics for more than 10 years.

I've been to all 7 continents.

I'd really like to become a travel agent.
