It's all About SERVICE!

For the Students
Food For Finals
Finals week is a stressful time for our students and supporting them is important. We provide cookies, muffins, or other snacks (Food for Finals) to give our students a boost through the long nights and missed meals.

For the Community
Angel Tree
Angel Tree is the largest service project SAA sponsors. Angel Tree helps provide Christmas gifts to children in the community. Using the schools as resources, we collect names of families that can benefit from Angel Tree. The families are given the opportunity to request what their children need; these requests are displayed anonymously on trees throughout the community. Members of the community choose an "angel" to purchase gift for. SAA organizes, collects, wraps and distributes the gifts.

Angel Tree is a great opportunity for our organization to give back to a community that does so much for us. The success of Angel Tree depends on the willingness of SAA members to donate their time. Planning for the project begins in October, so be on the lookout for chances to volunteer.

Fun Run
What could be better than a brisk run on a cool Saturday morning? How about racing for a cause? Each year SAA raises money for a local charity by organizing a 10K, 5K, 1-mile walk, and children's run. Help support the community by participating in one of the races or helping organize the event, which takes place in the spring.

For The Kids
Children's Socials
These activities are designed for kids of all ages, their parents and any SAA member who wants to join in the fun. Socials may include carnivals, egg hunts, field trips to local attraction, or a trunk-or-treat.

Playgroup
Both parents and kids need time to interact with people their own ages. Need a break, but don't have kids? Come anyway. Take time from the week to chat and play with friends. Playgroup is held weekly, location changes to accommodate weather.
