Happy Birthday Sandy Petrich!!!

Name: Sandra Petrich (Sandy)Student’s Name: Ivan Petrich
Student’s Graduation Year: 2016
Your Birthday: 1-22-1984
-Tell us a little bit about yourself: I was born and raised in a little town near Stuttgart, Germany. I moved to California when I was 9yrs old with my family. We moved to Sanger and I got my own room and my first dog! I always missed Germany and I can't wait to take my kids there. Ivan and I grew up just down the street from each other. We met again when I was a sophmore at Fresno Pacific University. He would come and watch me play soccer. A friendship and then relationship quickly developed afterward. We got married in December of 2005 and now we have 3 beautiful children. Elisabeth who is 5, Yulianna 3 and Donald 19m. I love to care for my family and others. I try to teach my children the importance of treating others the way you would like to be treated. I love sports, especially soccer, raquetball, volleyball, and anything fun!! I enjoy traveling and trying new things, meeting new people and learning others stories! I have a degree in English and still hope to be a high school English teacher one day, but time will tell!!

*What would be your perfect day? Having fun with friends & family. Leaving the worries and the stress of life behind! Doing something fun together such as sledding, playing a sport and just laughing together! Nothing too complex, just lots of fun!

*If you could eat at any restaurant for your birthday, what would it be? A place back in Fresno called Rio Grill. It had Brazilian food which was delicious. The meat there was super yummy!!

*If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would go back to Germany to visit my family and friends. I would share my heritage and who I am with my children. I would show them where my Oma (grandmother) took me for walks, the bakery we got fresh bread from, and the hill where we had endless hours of fun in the snow and eating apples in the spring!

*What was one of your favorite vacations? Going to the beach with my husband for our honeymoon. It was so beautiful and peaceful!

*What is your favorite food? Schnitzel and chocolate!

*What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas...because of its true meaning and the services you can do for others. Christmas makes me want to serve, surprise others with gifts and do kind things as much as I can.
*What is your favorite season and why? Winter....I love the falling snow! I love to go sledding. Winters with no snow don't feel like winter to me. The winter we have had here has been amazing!!
