Happy Birthday Annie McAferty!

Name: Annie McAfertyStudent’s Name: Kenny McAfertyStudent’s Graduation Year: 2016Your Birthday: October 21Blog: angelamoonbaby.blogspot.com

-Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. After high school, I went to Provo and spent 5 years at BYU doing a bachelors and masters in Exercise Science. I moved to Chandler, AZ in August 2009 and met Kenny soon after that. We met while playing on the same co-ed soccer team. We got married in Mesa, AZ in March 2011. Before moving to Kirksville, I worked as an Exercise Physiologist in a Cardiac rehab and I loved it! I love all things wellness and exercise related. I'm also pregnant with our first; we're expecting a baby girl on Thanksgiving Day and we are so excited to meet her!

*if you could eat at any restaurant for your birthday what would it be? Tia Rosa (it's in Mesa, AZ); they have the best chile relleno!

*Who is your favorite musical group/band/singer? Joshua Radin. My music tastes have gotten significantly more chill as I've gotten older.

*If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? Thailand- I lived there for a summer during college and I want to take Kenny to see it.

*What is your favorite movie? Jurassic Park!

*Best birthday memory? When I turned 16, my parents bought me tickets to see Enrique Iglesias. The tickets were for Salt Lake, so I drove to Utah with my mom and saw him with my mom and my two older sisters. It was so amazing! I loved Enrique then, and I still love him!

*what was the best job you ever had? LIfeguarding was pretty sweet- I loved getting paid to sit in the guard office. I am lazy at heart. But I would have to say my favorite job was my last one, as an Exercise Physiologist. I loved working with cardiac patients and being a part of their journey to a healthier life. It is really neat to help a non-exerciser realize that exercise is fun and for everyone.

*If you could get any gift for your birthday this year what would it be? I would love to have whatever creature(s)/animal(s) that is(are) living in my attic removed by my birthday. It's not normal when you know you don't have upstairs neighbors but there are sounds coming from above the ceiling. Gotta love Kirksville!
