Happy Birthday Melissa Andicochea!

Name: Melissa Andicochea
Student's Name: Chad Andicochea
Student's Graduation Year: 2011
Birthday: November 24th

Tell us about your family.
My husband and I were both born and raised in Southern California. We love the beach and the mountains. I used to be in real estate and sales and now I stay home with our beautiful 10 month old baby girl, Alaia (who was born in Kirksville). We are rotating in Arizona now and love it.

Do you have any pets?
Yes, we have two dogs. An American Eskimo named Hailey and a German Shepherd named Bear. They were our babies before Alaia came along.

What is your favorite food?
Got to be Mexican!

What word describes you best?
I never know how to answer this. I'm a love bug, so let's say "loving".

What is your greatest accomplishment?
Marrying my husband and having my beautiful baby.

Where do you like to vacation?
San Diego or anywhere with a beach. I would love to go to Europe someday though.

What is your favorite color?
Pink or lavender

How do you want to be remembered?
As a God fearing, loving, devoted, giving woman.

What super-power would you most like to have, and why?
To fly like Superman. I tend to run late so it would be cool to just zip somewhere instead of driving.

Where are you from?
Southern California

Who has had the most influence on your life?
My Savior and my husband.

Are you a beach, country or city person?
Beach and city

If you knew you could try anything and not fail, what dream would you attempt?
Building a successful sky rise hotel/resort like Donald Trump's.

What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
It's not super crazy, but while on a mission trip in the Caribbean (we were on down time) I saw a man who lived on the island bathing his horse in the ocean and swam out to them. I talked to the man about his horse and he offered for me to ride the horse. I love horses and have experience riding, so I took him up on it and rode the horse in my bathing suit with no saddle, saddle pad or even a halter. There was simply a small rope tied around the horses nose and I held on to the end of it and rode the horse down the beach along the water. It was kind of a dream come true. My fellow team members thought I was crazy, but it was fun
!
Describe your perfect day.
Waking up when I want and going with my husband and baby down to the beach in San Diego to swim in the ocean, sun bathe and relax. Then going shopping later and then maybe getting dressed up for an evening out. Having dinner on the coast and then walking in the sand.
